Woodward Real Estate Inc. is a division of Woodward Auction,
Appraisal and Real Estate Inc. and is owned by Diane and Harvey
Woodward III.
The Company was formed in 1992 as an Auction Company. In 1994,
Harvey became a certified personal property appraiser. Diane became
a licensed real estate agent. Harvey Woodward, Mark Kluck and
Fred Dorava became partners in Woodward Auction. Diane Woodward
worked under Fred Dorava, a licensed real estate broker for two
years. In 1997, the partnership dissolved. Diane became the broker.
Harvey continued his auction business as manager, hiring auctioneers,
ring men, etc.
The
building located at 1021 Western Avenue was purchased in 2000.
The building was remodeled with the intentions of having our offices
located here, as well as having two rental spaces. Renting two
suites in Mosinee was tougher than we anticipated. We decided
to make use of Suite B, until we could rent it out and because
we wanted a means of bringing people in to meet us, we used the
1600 square foot space as an Antique Shop, “The Copper Boiler.”
In 2001, Diane went full time in real estate sales. The Copper
Boiler was operated until December of 2003. Therapy Specialists
rented 1000 sq. ft. from us, and subleased to Sport and Spine.
Sport and Spine now lease the space previously occupied by the
antique shop. The shop served it’s purpose; “get acquainted
in Mosinee”.
Our location is great; The Real Estate Company has grown. What
began as a bonus to the Auction Company turned into a venture
of its own. Our goal is to add one possibly two agents in 2004/2005.
Woodward Real Estate Inc. has looked at the pros and cons of joining
a franchise, but after much discussion with other independent
companies and many meetings, we have decided we like our environment
and will continue as we are. Independently owned and operated.
We feel we can compete with the larger firms, we also feel we
can offer agents a quiet environment without extreme pressure
or stress. Something everyone wants today.
